Transglutaminase (TG):

Traditionally used as an ingredient in food preparation, transglutaminase (TG) is a naturally occurring enzyme in plants, animals and bacteria. TG bonds protein molecules together with a very strong (covalent) bond by linking two amino acids: glutamine and lysine. Transglutaminase can be used in cosmetics and personal care products as a skin conditioner or binding agent. It can also be used in hair care to hold a particular style, color, shine enhancement or alleviate damage. While some TG is produced by fermentation of animal sources, our TG is produced from vegetable-based fermentation making it completely safe for all types of personal care use.
